Died on May 27, 1993 after long battle with cancer at age 46 just a few days later after wedding of her only child, a daughter Rabia Tariq. Shortly after Rani's death, her mother who was seriously sick and never knew of her daughter's death, also died. Rani's only sister also died three months later.
