She was awarded the Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2024 King's New Years Honours List for her services to Medicine in London, England. Professor Stevens was elected Fellow for the Royal Society of Science and the Royal Society of Engineering. She is a John Black Professor of Bionanoscience at the University of Oxford in Oxford, Oxfordshire and Professor at Imperial College in London, England.
