George Perez(XIII)
George Perez was born and raised in a middle-class Mexican-American
family in Los Angeles, where he worked as a computer consultant at
various successful firms for 20 years.
George was introduced to the Corazon de Vida Foundation (CDV) by a former girlfriend, and came kicking and screaming on a CDV orphanage bus trip about 11 years ago. Through this experience, he met great kids, learned of their stories, and did due diligence on CDV. Then he met Hilda Pacheco-Taylor and that sealed the deal. George quit his job, sold a couple of LA homes, got rid of the girlfriends, and moved to Orange County to be closer to the CDV office and to the border.
He is now a board member and oversees CDV operations in Baja, donor relations, administration, delivery boy, sponsor tour guide, and more. George is working ten times more now that when he was in the computer field, but he would not to have it any other way.
