She once performed as a three-legged, very short-sighted cat in her school play, when she broke her arm on the morning of the performance and couldn't wear her glasses under her mask. Highlight of her career.
She used to teach David and Fred Dimbleby the 'cello. She almost had a miscarriage in their front room during a lesson. They were very nice about it.
She went to school in the shadow of the BT tower, in a school that had it's playground on the roof. It was the 80s.
