Well, that was a surprise... We were so hesitant when we read all of the horrible reviews about the "worst ending ever." And honestly that made me wanna watch it even more. I honestly don't understand how anyone could take issue with any part of this wonderful film.
So glad we were defiant and watched it. This was a perfect little independent film. I won't give you spoilers, but it was endearing, it was authentic, it was painful in the very best way and also so beautiful. The characters were so well fleshed out and believable. I remember this period of life, had friends and situations that were depicted...it was like being a fly on the wall for the struggles of adulthood so many of us have.
The acting was also exceptional, and the humor was not slapstick, it was smart and funny. The only thing that bothered me, and this is so stupid, is that they were constantly outside in a Chicago winter without coats. Lol!!! Other than that... Absolutely loved it!
