Long-running series for Girlfriends Films hits a high mark for mature ladies with huge breasts in Vol. 31. I enjoyed seeing both Karen Fisher and Raquel Sieb as "daughter swappers" in the slow-burn high-octane first half of this lengthy feature.
This brand of Adult lesbian entertainment provides a calming and soothing mood that is not present in other porn. Detractors could compare much of the running time to watching those Yule Log videos on TV that provide background ambiance at holiday time, but apparently the goal is to achieve an almost zen-like state while watching two actresses smooch, grope and snuggle for perhaps 45 minutes at a time. No rush, no violent movements, just an absorption in each other.
This occurs when 50-something Raquel and pushing 40 Karen briefly discuss the "club" whereby moms swap their daughters for some hot sex, no questions asked. Despite the umpteen videos on the market supporting this notion, and even a website advertised on the back of the DVD encouraging mom/offspring to join up, I find this an apocryphal concept, even in these decadent times.
Karen ends up with Sieb's step-daughter, redhead Sadie Kennedy, and the mismatched pair provides a rousing opening vignette. Fisher is an unusual sight, a big woman who suggests an unholy marriage from porn's Golden Age of the physical characteristics of Carol Connors and Candy Samples. She is a smooth talker and an able performer who I always enjoy watching, though unfortunately she generally works the gonzo route. Kennedy does a good job, though her background is in gonzo boy/girl scenes with an anal specialty, far removed from her work here.
Segment two is outstanding, as the generally unsung Sieb (whose breast size nearly matches her age) makes hay with Shae Snow, whose background consists almost entirely of being bound and gagged in those weird fetish videos. In a more normal setting, she comes off pleasantly here. The fact that neither mom/daughter (one a step, of course) team even vaguely resembles each other is noted in passing.
The video falls off a cliff in terms of quality for the last half, with dissolves used noticeably to shorten the final two segments, neither of which delivers quality on the level already established. This fault is largely due to casting, and unfortunately the concept of a do-over or recasting seems to have been abandoned in the current penny-pinching era of 3-hour features created from one or two day shoots (3 days is now almost a luxury or "super-production").
For parts 3 & 4 of the show, the youngsters turn the tables as instigators, rather than coping with predatory lesbian moms. Kinky Gaga, a butch-styled (think of a Syd Blakovich imitator who is quite unattractive) performer whose career mystifies me, seduces vet Shay Fox, she of the perfect and fake breasts. There is zero chemistry here and the patter for both the introduction and during their scene is miserable. Basically, this is anti-erotic filler, mercifully shortened to a more manageable (but tedious nonetheless) half hour.
Gaga's purported mom Payton Leigh, an inconceivable defiance of genetics, is paired with the popular Prinzzess for an all-blonde finale. Payton has made several earlier appearances in the Exchange Club series, but is a dead fish this time, so the Prinzzess has to do all the work to maintain the viewer's attention. Highpoint of this desultory finish is when Prinzzess declares: "Don't stop - I'm gonna hit you if you stop!" when Payton goes down on her. Perhaps a bit of fake-violence or cat- fight could have saved this misguided effort in the final reels, though to all appearances it seems that the label's director Dan O'Connell must have dozed off sometime after his big breast queens left the building.
