The film was originally consieved as a Christmas special to be in made and released in Christmas 2015, however due to all of the projects 3B Entertainment planned to do at that time, not enough time was given for this to be made. It was then aimed for Christmas 2016, but after some delays and the death of a friend of the Browns around the time it was to be made, it was decided not to make it that year. Early in December 2016,
Joshua Brown announced that a Christmas film would be made instead.
