I'm supposing the cop-out for this extremely poor David Stanley feature from early in his Vivid career is that porn was experimenting with "Interactive" releases at the time (many distributors like VCA, Metro and Adam & Eve even renamed themselves with Interactive in the logo for a brief period). But that doesn't excuse him from pretentiousness and tedium.
Presented as a sort of mystery, we are asked to sit through five padded sex scenes, separated by a blackout staging of Frank Bukkwyd (his stage name misspelled in the credits) as "Black Suit", a guy interrogating the cast rather cryptically. The mystery is finally revealed in the final reel, merely an anticlimax.
Stanley made a career of writing unusual and quirky plot lines, often with cryptic elements and tag lines thrown in so as to appear clever. Here he has each interrogation scene end with the offer or request for a cigarette, a gimmick I found merely annoying. Black Suit is clearly a devil figure, and the requisite horror elements are poorly presented.
Sex scenes are perfunctory and the cast is lousy, hardly up to Vivid standards. Cassidey is the contract girl on view, but her character is not developed at all. Instead, the main role goes to Stanley regular Eric Masterson, who spends most of the show ineffectively trying to disguise his boredom as he watches the other players hump. As usual, Stanley uses crummy sets, not hiding the minuscule budget but rather, by staging each scene as a variation of a blackout, emphasizing the lack of production values as if that were "artistic".
