Lauri Huurros, the son of a consul, finds Leena Jonsson, a girl of the streets, shoplifting.She won't turn her in.They become close with each other, and reporter Salava, who's there at the department store, wants to know who the girl is.He comes up with a lie that she's French mademoiselle Du Pont.It creates a mess, when it's in the papers.Now they have to get engaged.Well, worse things could happen.She happens to be quite a looker.Sakari Jurkka, a fine actor, makes his directorial debut with Leena (1954).He made two more features.Heidi Krohn, who turns 75 later this month, makes her acting debut as Leena.She makes a good comedienne.And later in her career she has done also some drama, in which she's good at, too.Matti Oravisto plays the male lead Lauri, and he's very good.The part of reporter Salava is played by Eija Karipää.The theater face Mia Backman does her last film role as Sanni Huurros.Fritz-Hugo Backman is Klaus Huurros.The professor buddies, Möller and Örn, are played by Paavo Jännes and Arvo Lehesmaa.Holger Salin portrays Tiirikka-Eemeli.Aku Korhonen is Männikkö, editor of Iltatorvi.Heikki Savolainen plays Butler.The part of doctor Jurvanto is played by Leo Riuttu.Kerttu Salmi is Jonssonska.Leo Jokela is the photographer Mononen.Kaarlo Wilska portrays the janitor of the museum.Pentti Irjala is the detective of the alien office.Veikko Itkonen is the captain of the plane.The director Jurkka plays an editor.This is a light comedy, that entertains you enough.It's enjoyable to watch Leena working at the museum as a cleaner, with glasses on and calling herself Kaisa.This is some good old time fun, that should not be overlooked by today's audiences.What they come up with these days, can't be better than this.
