West German Adventure Flick with Lex BARKER and Ann SMYRNER

When Sri Lanka was still called Ceylon

The German producer Wolf C. HARTWIG was able to win the US star Lex BARKER for the leading role with his RAPID Film. It was shot on location, the story isn't that special. A typical West German adventure film from the 1960s.

The beautiful women from Denmark (Ann SMYRNER), France (Magali NOEL) and Italy (Eleonora ROSSI DRAGO) are interesting. Hans NIELSEN and Peter CARSTEN play supporting roles. Maurice RONET also provides French star power.

In the 1960s, long-distance travel was still unaffordable, so West German audiences went to the cinema to see exotic landscapes.
