¨Double Cross¨ also titled ¨Kolmen Keikka¨ or ¨Blue Jeans and Dynamite¨ or ¨3-Way Split¨deals with Tony Pintana (Robert Vaughan) , an actor and stunt , and his spouse Annie Morgan (Katia Christine) are contacted by Martin (Simón Andreu) , who is short on cash and whose proprieties have been seized . ¨Three Way Split¨ deals with a trio of thieves carry out a dangerous mission who includes three protagonists : Robert Vaughn as Tony , Simón Andreu as Luis Martin and Katia Christine as Annie Morgan , all of them robbing a valuable Inca treasure and being relentlessly chased by a policeman , Aldo Sambrell , who isn't convinced they're innocent . This cast is acceptable but really wasted , as they usually appear fleeing , running , escaping with no much sense . This clichéd heist film , ¨perfect robbing films¨ variation , packs adventures , thrills , perilous adventures , lighthearted comedy with tongue-in-cheek , silly happenings , pursuits and brief action . The noisy action is uniformly bad-made , including ironical tones , especially deserving of mention the chasing scenes in Caracas streets .
Anti-climatic and inappropriate musical score by Adolfo Waitzman , as well as functional cinematography by Julio Bragado . Shot on location in La Guaira, Estado Vargas, Venezuela , and Mataró, Barcelona , and Daganzo, Madrid . Weak screenplay and financed in low budget by he notorious producer Jose G . Maesso with his Cia. ¨Tecisa¨ produced several Westerns as ¨The ugly ones¨ , ¨Minnesota Clay¨ , ¨Django¨ , ¨A train to Durango¨ ,¨Gringo¨, ¨Hellbenders¨ and financed various pre-Leone Western as ¨Tierra Brutal¨ and along with Paella Westerns directed by Joaquin Romero Marchent as ¨Three Implacables¨ , ¨The shadow of Zorro¨ created the birth of European Western , before Leone-boom . This film titled ¨Dynamite and Blue Jeans¨ or ¨Next Week Rio¨ ór ¨Der Millionen-Dollar-Coup¨(Germany) was ordinarily handled and below average directed by Gordon Hessler, and achieved limited success and cash . His first feature film as a director was ¨Catacombs¨ (1965) . When production of the AIP Edgar Allan Poe series was shifted to Britain, Hessler collaborated with producer Louis Heyward and horror enthusiast/ screenwriter Christopher Wicking on three Poe films and on the sci-fi shocker : ¨Scream and scream again¨ , ¨The oblong box¨ and ¨Murders in the Rue Morgue¨ . Carrying on in the fantasy field, he also directed the Ray Harryhausen stop-motion swashbuckler ¨Golden voyage of Sinbad¨ (1973) and additional small-screen suspense : ¨Scream, Pretty Peggy¨ (1973) with Bette Davis and adventure/wartime as ¨Shogun Mayeda¨ and ¨The misfit brigade¨ . Of course , this ¨Atraco En Jungla¨, a hold-up movie in which added humor to action .
