Kirstie Alley does a good job portraying then iconic Gloria Steinem, who worked an undercover journalistic assignment as a Playboy Bunny at the famous New York City club in 1963. What was supposed to be a light, amusing piece turned out to be a serious report about what it was really like (more like an army camp, in my opinion, with all the rules, regulations and orders, not to mention a ridiculous bunch of demerits for just about anything), far from the glamorous fun it was thought to be.
The stories of the women who work there become entangled with Gloria's own life, which I'm sure was a bit exaggerated for the movie, as journalists never get that involved when on assignment. Still, it does give you a lot to think about.
There were other familiar TV faces (like Deborah von Valkenberg and Delta Burke) and enough to keep you interested, but no more or less than most TV movies.
