Plot : In occupied Poland during WW2, a stage director and his wife join the resistance fighters ; they entrust their three children to country friends .The three boys become friends with the village kids and ,imitating their father, put on a stage drama .While the Germans requisition cattle and crops , the children (now six ) leave the village to perform their play in the other villages ,finally wanders in the mountains ,a dangerous journey where the enemy's ambush awaits.
The running time on the site is false : this Pole-French co-production only lasts about 100 minutes ;based on real facts ,it suffers from the use of both French actors and Pole ones and a little lackadaisical directing ; the subject deserved better.
