Unfortunately, very few nice gags and not the best rythm for comedy, despite some great actors such as Grande Otelo (the best Brazilian actor ever, in my opinion) and Dercy Gonçalves (very funny in the 50's) and a director who made wonderful movies in previous years (Madona de Cedro, O santo milagroso, and Cangaceiros de Lampião). The general story of criminals and scoundrels, with some social critique, os nice, but itnis not developped successfully. It seems that many gags were dated references to TV shows from those days. For instance, Catifunda, one of Grande Otelo's character's waste collecting companions, was Zilda Cardoso's character in TV shows A Praça da Alegria and A Praça é Nossa and it would follow her for decades in newer TV shows. Despite tepid and not so funny, the movie is well filmed.
