Heard some wonderful songs by Mohantara Talpode and Hamida Banu from film "Dharti", 1946.. Two very melodious voice, with great range, ardour, freshness..The song : "phool . Kali qyun .mari"' has been particularly enjoyable, with music by Bulo C Rani at his best. Not over crowdwed with too many instruments., filling in pauses splendidly, with steady and clear but unobtrusive accompanying music. The music seems to completely mood and meaning of the lyrics of Pandit Mitra. It would be good to see the lyrics and meaning in English. The words are clear and slow paced. Easy to pick. By someone who knows Hindi. Great thanks to the performers and sharers !
