Gente Decente (2004)I rented this as I was interested in seeing some films from Chile!! (There are not many) Plot: In Santiago, Andrés Barros a successful young attorney with a bright future in law and a beautiful fiancée must use his courtroom skills to defend himself from murder charges when the high-class prostitute he slept with turns up dead in a tense, race-against-time thriller from director Eduardo Viereck. Andres had it all before that fateful encounter with the beautiful prostitute. Now Andres has been accused of murder, and his whole life has come crashing down in a swirling firestorm of controversy and deceit. As the evidence piles up against him and time begins to run out for the desperate lawyer, Andres will have to fight to clear his name and get his life back before he loses everything to pay for a crime he didn't commit. This seems more like a television novella than a film made for theater audiences. Some Scenes editing was very poor. It's really not a thriller but a thriller within a TV novella (soap opera) GENTE DECENTE brims with suspense, eroticism, and thrills that promise to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. In Spanish with English subtitles. This is the only Luciano Cruz Coke video. Stars also making their debut in this video: Katyna Huberman, Francisco Melo, Viviana Rodriguez, Edgardo Viereck. In the end this movie is pretty cheesy and predictable. I enjoyed the Chilean Spanish and the look at Santiago Chile. Overall a pretty poor movie. 2 or 3 stars
