Ecosistema

After hearing the director presenting his film with the words "This is a film about a little girl, a rabbit, and a spider, I hope you like it", I knew we couldn't really expect a "common" thing. I mean, the name of the man translates as "Darkness", and he wore a huge Mohawk haircut and a black coat... could it be a joyful love story?

"Ecosistema" has an interesting graphic style, with a good start using good visual effects and a quite well done aerial sight. In spite of the pleasant general setting, the movie becomes mediocre when you take into account the high levels of violence, with perhaps too much blood and guts, and the too simple plot, always subordinated to the obsessive gore.

All in all, "Ecosistema" is not a bad film, although it could be better if Tinieblas had substituted some of the guts with a deeper plot.
