I loved Little Britain Live. I actually saw them live at The Odyssey in Belfast back '06. I also had the pleasure of seeing Mr Walliams do the Buffalo Bill. The first, but hopefully not the only celeb I had ever seen naked in real life.
Anyway, I saw the show again on DVD for the first time in years. And saw this Comic Relief version in Poundland and decided to get it.
What a waste of a pound.
Yes, it's the exact same sketches but with celebrities in them. The plots and jokes are the same but it's with celebrities.
So what?
Yes, I know it's for charity. Even though these celebs are being paid more than the money that is actually funded for the needy, but......
HEY, FOLKS! DO YOU LIKE LITTLE Britain? WELL, HERE'S LITTLE Britain LIVE, ONLY THIS TIME WITH CELEBRITIES!
Yeah, your fave celebs are in it....... but....... does that make the exact same show any better?
No.
It doesn't.
The celebs just seem out of place and serve no purpose.
They're just here for the sake of being famous.
Peter Kay plays Brian Potter, who introduces a sketch. And even he (not in character as Brian) looks fed up and insulted by the whole scenario as much as we are.
The actual Live show worked cos it was David and Matt. Here, the focus is on the celebs.
Just pointless.
