Listed on Amazon as Revenge, and initially thought I was going to be getting the 2017 film of the same name. Sadly, no. Still, this one wasn't too bad, for using the well-worn plot of the violated/raped woman seeking revenge against the man who wronged her. The unique aspect of this one is that the woman, Anna, has a highly developed sense of smell, so she hopes to find him that way. Initially presented as a career woman with no time for romance, she morphs into someone on a mission who then engages in a lot of casual sex in order to find who she's looking for. Perhaps a little hard to take seriously, but it kind of worked. In contrast to something like Promising Young Woman or I Spit on Your Grave, this was done in a rather clinical, one might say dull, way. I've seen lots of verité style European films, so that wasn't really an issue for me. The problem is that the plot derails in the last 20 or so minutes, and then doesn't really have an ending. It would have been nice to have some kind of closure. Overall, not bad but not great. Indie films don't get seen very widely, much less European ones, and I think that this film merits at least one viewing.
