Nosebleed (2008)
** (out of 4)
David Arquette plays a man who sits down to enjoy a steak when his nose starts to bleed. He plugs it up with some toilet paper but wakes up the next morning with his pillow covered in blood. He frantically searches the house for something to plug it up only to have the other side to start. This B&W short runs a brief 8-minutes and it's really up to the viewer to draw an explanation as to what's going on. Considering Arquette is alone with the bleeding starts and can't find anything to help him, I'm going to guess that loneliness has something to do with the message of the film. I can't say this was a bad movie but at the same time there's really nothing here to make me recommend it to people either. There's really no style to speak of and Arquette isn't really given anything to do other than to freak out and destroy an apartment looking for something to plug his nose. If you have 8-minutes to kill you won't find this to be a complete waste but then again, I really wouldn't go out of my way to find it.
