The End of the World Cult

This documentary concerns a filmmaker who was allowed to have access to a cult in New Mexico....and WHY they allowed this outside into their compound is confusing to say the least. Regardless, Ben Anthony and his crew were shocked, as soon after they began filming, the cult leader, Michael Travesser, was up on sexual abuse charges for his being intimate and naked with underaged members of the cult. What follows is a somewhat scary journey, as you are never sure what Travesser and his devoted followers will do next....suicide, murder or something else.

This documentary is well made and worth seeing. But it might also make you angry...I know it did with me. This is because the parents of one of the abused teens apparently had left the cult and left their underaged daughter in the cult! What?! What sort of parenting is that?! Unfortunately, you never know about this or Travesser's fate in this film....and I was forced to find out through Wikipedia.
