Let's face it, this film isn't a masterpiece. It's not something I'd go out of my way to watch again, but I genuinely enjoyed it. Much like another "sleeper hit", 7 Nights Of Darkness, it hits that sweet spot of the characters being believable, whether that be by sheer dumb luck of having good actors, or of having actors so bad they make the characters work.
I wouldn't say it was overtly scary, but for a large amount of the film, I wasn't sure if I was watching a horror movie, or a home makeover show.
Everything about it oozes that kitschy mid 2000's mix of bad editing and cheesy music that makes it an enjoyable experience.
Give it a shot, I mean, it could always be worse.
