In Flight

Just goes to prove what length any parent would go through, however six episodes maybe too long. Four episodes max would show the same detail Katherine Kelly plays a great part.

Channel 4 need to improve their drama though, however it's great you can binge watch all 6 episodes, when it could of been four episodes.

I'm 2 episodes in and I'm really enjoying the show.

I had low expectations... the TV Networks and Streamers are churning these thriller drama series out at such a rate that they are getting progressively worse and I expected In Flight to be no exception.

But I was shocked when the story grabbed me quite quickly. The opening scenes are a little disjointed as the story jumps through different timelines (a pet hate of mine and so common on shows at the moment) but that only lasts for a couple of minutes. This story is t a slow burn, you get into the action quickly and by the end of the first episode you know exactly what you're in for.

Even early in, you can see some of the minor characters being set up to play a bigger part later in the story. I'm intrigued to see where it goes.

One of the things that I'm enjoying is that it isn't TOO complex. So many of these thrillers now demand 100% of your attention and dialogue is traded in for visual storytelling, which means it's common to lose some of the story, but In Glight makes the story really easy to follow, there's no 4D chess to work out what's happening and the cast is quite small so you get to now all of the characters quite quickly.

Some of the other reviews have been quite harsh and I think it's unfair.

It's gripping but easily watchable and it isn't trying to be a Hollywood Blockbuster, it's trying to be a TV crime thriller... which it does very well.

After the first twenty minutes of In Flight you feel a pair of hands grip you around the throat and slowly squeeze for the next five and a half episodes. Credit to the writer and producer for keeping the action and plot within the realms of belief, and KK does a great job as Jo, maintaining the balancing act between hero and victim. Stuart Martin is superb as the magnetic villain with his own backstory, and the supporting cast all help carry the load. The real star of the show is writer Mike Walden, the beam upon which this edifice rests, and if justice prevails, will soon become a household name for quality film and television. His script remains tight to the end. Hope it gets a second season and look forward to more from co-creators Mike and Adam.

Loved this. Kept me hooked until the end. Its a great cast and Katherine Kelly in particular is brilliant in it. It highlights so well the absolute feeling of helplessness in this situation and I was gripped as the tension mounted as the story progressed . We need more of this quality drama as so much now disappoints.

Love this! Wasn't sure what it would be like as I hadn't read a thing about it before but I thought it was so great. Was on the edge of my seat for most of it. Not loads of episodes so easy to binge as well. I got through it in two days. I would recommend to anyone who is unsure on their next watch.
