James Avalon, his screenwriter Jet Michaels and a talented cast of players outdo themselves in this second episode of the Sweet Sinner jail- bait series, a model of concise narrative porn.
Usually the vignette structure, now so popular in Adult Cinema with thousands of DVDs available, is mere pretense for the "let's roll the XXX " to paraphrase sports commentator Warner Wolf. But this time, Avalon manages to create interesting characters and intriguing situations from which the explicit sex emerges organically.
With very big name young femmes cast, it was a pleasant surprise that the "ringer", Alyssa Branch, provides the most alluring performance. In "Into the Fire" she visits the dad of her boyfriend, played by cameraman Jake Jacobs, who's puttering around with his car engine in his garage. She digs the older man, and her sucking on his injured finger is memorably sexy and a demonstration that even in the world of hardcore, simple & gentle moments can make all the difference.
Superstar Riley Reid is driving to college with her sleeping friend (Katie St. Ives in a NonSex cameo, later to get a XXX scene of her own) and the friend's dad at the wheel. Stopping at a motel, she seduces dad Alec Knight and this segment titled "Road Trip" has good humor, a very upbeat atmosphere and one of Riley's better acting performances before she hit #1 on the charts with more lucrative gonzo assignments, more's the pity.
"Fallout" has sad little Jessie Andrews interrupting hard-at-work lawyer Marcus London, who gives her a shoulder to cry on. She had a fight with her mom, a former girlfriend to Marcus, and he was the subject. The gradual segue to older/younger sex is masterfully developed in this wonderful little vignette.
Finale has St. Ives back in action in "Last Goodbye", similarly despondent as she's about to leave school. Her professor and adviser Dale DaBone handles the literate dialog with great conviction, and the scene works both dramatically and sexually. A fitting finish to an excellent program, buried (for subscribers and streamers) in the Sweet Sinner catalog.
