Royal Carols: Together at Christmas

This was nice as a one-off, especially back in 2021 when we were all emerging from the hell that was the Covid-19 Pandemic.

It was a well-intentioned attempt to bring people together and to raise a smile in difficult times. Putting the religious aspect of Christmas front and centre on prime time telly is admirable too.

To repeat the trick though feels like you are running the risk of the law of diminishing returns.

We've seen this now, we know how it is going to play out. Does it need to be televised at all?

It's fine, it serves its purpose, but I'm afraid the novelty is wearing a bit thin now.
