This is an amazing documentary. As a Cowboys fan for all of my 63 years, this brought back good and not so good memories. It reminded me of why I love football and the Cowboys in particular. I agree with the previous review that the game sequences are so well done. I was biting my nails all over again! After trying to swear off the team after the last playoff loss to Green Bay, I couldn't do it. This reminds me that hope springs eternal.
Great series and content- over produced at times. As a lifelong Cowboys fan starting in 1977 I had hoped they would show a little more of the early years with Landry and Staubach but logically most of those players are not available and so the Doc is really all about the JJ era, which in fact became the most successful era of the franchise to date. It was both heartbreaking and heart wrenching at times just as reality often is and so on that note it was spot on. The rollercoaster ride that era was is what made the series so captivity, I watched the first 5 episodes in one sitting because I could not go to sleep without knowing what happened next. If you're a football fan you need to watch this PERIOD.
Great content, but how did the sound mix ever pass final edits? At times, you can't hear the dialogue over the music. If not for having subtitles on, I'd have missed 1/2 of what's being said. Otherwise, even this Lions fan enjoyed an in-depth look at the Cowboys, especially the '90s teams from my childhood.

Just finished the 3rd episode & it's 1:48 am ct. I cannot stop watching. Amazing thus far! I'm a die-hard Chicago Bears fan who grew up watching the Bulls & the Cowboys as a Chicago kid in the 90s. I almost forgot how great this team was even though I've always known the end results. Amazing to see that they built this team from nothing into something special.
Ignore the low ratings. Must be anti-Cowboy fans. Shouldn't matter who you are a fan of but I get it, I couldn't watch 5 mins of Aaron Rodgers "Enigma" or whatever it's called, but lets face it, A-Rod is kind of a turd as a person. Similar to Favre. If they were cool, I'd watch it even as a Bears fan but neither are cool guys. Brady's docs are great, but this is the best football doc series I've ever seen & compares to The Last Dance.
Excellent overall editing, music & sound incl. Extremely high & redefined images with sound fx from the field gives this doc great edge. Perfect interviews- not a yawner by any stretch of the imagination. Yes, I do feel like some players are being left out but that's how it goes in these successful documentaries. You gotta watch the sidebars for more from guys like Luc Longley or Toni Kukoc on youtube if you loved "The Last Dance" so I hope the same goes for the Cowboy stars who didn't get their due (at least assuming they don't later having finished 3 episodes).

This is single handedly the best sports docuseries I have ever seen.
Opinion: I can't decide whether to hate Jerry or love him.
This should win some awards. I'm a carolina panthers fan and have always longed for this type of history. To be exposed in this way (i'm 30) was breath taking. Bravo to the whole creative team for telling this beautiful and thrilling story.
Opinion: Jimmy Johnson- best to ever do it.
