I loved the whole series. It was brilliant. The camera work and the cinematography, as I said earlier, was just like a movie. The work here is top-notch. The dialogues the direction, the performance by the actors, everything.
One of the things that I have always disliked about web series is the unnecessary use of vulgar languages and scenes. But in the case of #Checkmate, it was nothing like that. The bold scenes were executed perfectly, and they didn't seem to be vulgar or without any point. Every scene had a point. There was no overuse of gaalis. The gaalis used by Param were required to represent his character. Other characters didn't use them much or at all, which was just as it should be according to their character graph.
And lastly the thing that I loved most was the character of #ParamShergill. On the surface, Param seemed an abusive partner. But underneath that "Sanki and Abusive" husband, there was some good in him. He wasn't all bad. The way Sha portrayed the layers and emotions of Param was the best thing about the series.
Param Shergill is the best thing about Checkmate.
