Stormy Daniels teams up (behind the camera) with fellow contract star Kaylani Lei for this old-fashioned but effective romance. Both ladies have departed from Wicked Pictures subsequently, making one nostalgic for this level of bygone fine filmmaking.
Lei and pal Presley Hart work for a catering company, and Presley tries to get her friend back into the dating game, though Lei is reluctant. At a bar she meets handsome Ryan Driller, unaware that he is a rather famous movie actor, on the cusp of stardom if his overly pushy agent Steven St. Croix has his way, and gets him signed to a contract to star in a superhero movie series.
They become star-crossed lovers, and the ups and downs of their relationship are well-written and executed by writer-director Stormy in one of her many parallel world exercises, in which porn pretends to be mainstream storytelling, but with the XXX content rearing its head at appropriate spots. One can easily imagine a soft X version (with softcore angles and judicious editing) of his movie playing on late-night Pay-Cable.
Acting is fine, and it was nice to see Stormy casting a relatively unknown actress Alison Moore in a most sympathetic version of the rival for Driller's affections, a part Stormy might have played when she was younger (she does not grace the screen with even a cameo appearance this time out).
