Prayer
This movie is very much about the Christian faith. It presents a very creative take on a subject that Christians discuss a lot but rarely if ever reach a totally satisfactory answer to: how does prayer work?
The story has a very simple idea of at least part of the answer: Often Jesus uses other Christians to bring answers to the more everyday concerns. The main character, Natalie, finds the little girl's prayer list. She sees that none of her prayers are for herself and so Natalie takes it upon herself to answer each one.
Implied, but never really voiced out loud in the story, is another part of the answer to the original question: prayer should be according to God's will, and as such, never selfish. (That's not to say it can't be for oneself, but not for selfish ambition or gain.)
I was worried about how the secret would make Natalie appear to be a villain and that came up and then was dealt with nicely.
Another theme in the movie is Wes still trying to deal with the loss of his wife and how that has affected his faith.
The actors were good and the dialogue was good albeit not sparkling. Shae Robin has been in a couple of movies I've seen, but I didn't realize that while watching this movie. She does a nice job and I hope she does more of these for this network.
I can't avoid pointing out some echoes of common secular tropes in Christmas movies. There are definite echoes of Natalie as a Secret Santa. Instead she is a Secret Angel. Natalie's boss acts like in many stories with an editor who wants to selfishly use a reporter's story in ways she didn't intend.
I also want to contrast the way the two romantic leads come together with that in so many other Christmas romance stories. Instead of heated arguments or accusations, everyone acts kindly after the infamous spilling of the drink.
I was glad the name of Jesus was used frequently and Natalie even prayed that outcomes would be used for His Glory.

CHRISTmas movie
For unbelievers, I can see how this would seem cheesy and preachy, but for those of us who personally know Jesus, this is real life. Prayer. Church events. Doing the right thing even if it means you're overlooked.
I can sympathize with Natalie's desire for a children's Christmas book that actually speaks of Jesus without being a retelling of the Nativity story. Something fresh and imaginative and appealing for little ones.
I'm inspired to have the kids in my youth group create their own Christmas Prayer List and then talk about being Jesus' hands and feet to answer others' prayers.

EXCELLENT
Excellent Movie. Really liked the story. Thanks Great American Family, for bringing back JESUS CHRIST into the Christmas Movies which is missing in majority of every Christmas Movies of your rival channels. Please continue to make Movies like this. Christmas is about Christ and joyful, not only joyness.
A Christmas Prayer
I saw the GAF movie last night. It was too religious/faithful, all about Jesus.
I didn't like it. In top of that, Good American Family media puts ads at the bottom of the screen advertising future movies. I not watching GAF movies anymore. That's it for me.
The actress Shae Robins was not good, unlike her movie Destined at Christmas.

A Christmas Prayer
I love this movie. It's one Christmas movie that actually focuses on the real reason for this holiday. It actually uses the word "Prayer" and mentions "Jesus" where many Christmas movies use the word "wish" and no mention of Jesus. Too bad because that's the actual reason for this holiday, this Christian holiday.
