The thing I appreciated most about Sundarakanda is that it manages to send a positive message without sounding preachy. The film talks about family, love, and togetherness, but it does so through natural conversations and actions rather than lectures. It doesn't feel like the movie is trying to teach you something, but by the time you leave the theater, you feel uplifted. That is a tough balance to get right, and this film nailed it.
Watched the film last night in a screening. The film based on its promos and songs was touted to be one of the biggest Bollywood films till date. War is a a rare big budget action that gets almost everything right. The best thing about the film is its Casting. Htithik and NTR face-off against is a treat to watch. Hrithik pulls of a Dhoom with his persona and swagger here while NTR surprises with his sincerity and acting apart from his stunts. Action stunts, which just keep coming, are simply phenomenal and never seen before in Bollywood. Screenplay is pacy and full of intelligent twists one after another with a jaw dropping climax. Hrithik's charm and svmcreen presence is magnetic with NTR complementing him well with his career best performance. The locations are eye candy and BGM is absolutely electric. On the whole, War 2 does what it promised- It entertains well. A big action spectacle that definitely deserves a watch on Big screen.
A fascinating aspect of the series is its exploration of light and dark magic-not just as opposing forces but as two sides of the same coin. Shiri's journey involves understanding that magic, like people, isn't inherently good or evil; it's the intent behind its use that defines its nature. This nuanced approach challenges the typical fantasy trope of clear-cut morality. Shiri's ability to harness both aspects of magic shows her growth and maturity, reflecting a deeper understanding of the world's complexities. It's a powerful metaphor for embracing one's dualities and learning to channel them constructively.
