In 1966, he starred in an unsold comedy pilot for ABC called "Ace of the Mounties" where he played a bumbling member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police whose dog always got its man.
Long-time popular leading man of Broadway musicals, who made occasional appearances on TV and in films. He was a Tony award nominee for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for "Tenderloin" in 1960.
