[on undertaking the title role in 'Hamlet'] I came in fucking swinging for our first read-through. I was like, 'People! Follow! We're doin' it! Now!' And I found stuff, and I was moved and it was spine-tingling. And afterwards, I felt so sad in a really big, great, useful way - you know, the sadness of Hamlet, which just feels like the sadness of everyone - a meaningful, purposeful, well-articulated sadness.
