In 1983 she started dating her acting mentor
Oleg Tabakov, while he still was married to
Lyudmila Krylova, whom she met two years earlier. She became pregnant by Tabakov but decided to terminate the pregnancy, the decision she later regretted about. They got married on March 17, 1994 following a 11-year-long affair, shortly after he finalized his divorce from first wife. They later welcomed two children together - a son
Pavel Tabakov (b. August 1, 1995) and a daughter Maria Tabakova (b. April 7, 2006). They exchanged their vows in the Eastern Orthodox Church in 2003. On March 12, 2018, Tabakov died from heart attack following months long health issues at the age 82 - just 5 days before their 24th wedding anniversary.
