As an orchestra conductor, he has conducted the Cleveland Orchestra, The Detroit Symphony,The National Symphony, The Houston Symphony, The Orchestra of St, Luke's, The Princeton Symphony, The Toledo Symphony, The Orquesta de Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, and the Kansas City Symphony. He is the winner of the Third International Eduardo Mata Competition held in Mexico City. He is also the inaugural recipient of the University of Michigan Emerging Artist Award. Other prizes include the Robert J. Harth Conducting Prize and The Aspen Music Festival Conducting Prize.
