Dale Hildebrand grew up on a Mennonite farm, in the middle of nowhere, with no running water, a single hand pump and a cash and carry toilet. His second oldest sister was born in the back of a horse-drawn sleigh, during a snow blizzard with temperatures hovering below -40 Fahrenheit.
