The episode of Xena: Warrior Princess which featured Raj as Krishna was banned in India. Religious fundamentalists were appalled that a Hindu deity was being featured in Xena. Their main cause for concern was that Xena was a lesbian icon and that Krishna should not appear opposite her on TV.
