Marshin Cupido is known for being the youngest feature film director in South Africa to ever direct a feature film. He was just 20 years old at the time when he directed his debut film "Die SMS" starring legendary South African actors such as Chanelle de Jager and Paul du Toit. The film won the "Best Foreign Film Award" at the Broadway International Film Festival in 2020.
