A group of mine-workers attempt to encounter a way out to survive after to be trapped by a collapse in the mining gallery where they were working . Set in Municipality of San Martín del Rey Aurelio, Principality of Asturias , north to Spain where five miner-workers getting trapped , they're the following ones : Daniel (Joaquin Furriel) who was there in the hope to find a new vein of coal to extract it, José (José Antonio Lobato) , an aged miner with four decades of experience at the edge to be retired; Soto (Manuel Pizarro) , another veteran mine-worker; María (Candela Peña) , a young woman who is an explosives technician; Radek, a Russian miner (Dimitri Garazha) seriously hurt by the crumble. They aundertake a race against time to getaway this claustrophobic death trap . The miners utilizing his skills and talents to survive the deadly trap , as using his intelligence and attempting to avoid get smashed .They must rely on his owns resources to survive , taking on starvation , thirsty and burial in life . Along the way , Daniel recalls his life with his wife (Paula Prendes) , grandfather and child.
Original and ingeniously basic premise full of tension , suspense and intrigue in spite of developing on a few scenarios. This disturbing and clever film chronicles fear ,vdesperation, paranoia of a group of miners who face off a completely Kafkaesque situation by staying in the eternal dark and isolation of the place . This is a thrilling film in which the desperado protagonists quest to find a way out and solutions to their burying . Along the way , the starring suffering delusions and hallucinations by remembering past situations . The picture succeeds because the intrigue , tension , as well as finely written script delving into the human psyche in such extreme situation and our instinctive urges for survival . Despite low budget the picture manages to be intelligent, suspenseful and exciting . The good thing about this film is that the director made it on a shoestring budget only having to do on a few sets , yet the movie works on many levels but is constantly reconfigured .

This is Luis Trapiello's film debut , who previously made a short titled La mujer del hatillo gris or ¨The woman with the grey bundle"(2011) with Álex Angulo , María Botto , Celso Bugallo , Pablo Rivero . Rating : 6/10. Passable and acceptable .
