Even if the story isn't fully coherent, you can still have fun watching this film while following the trio's absurd adventure from one place to another. Eventually they go looking for work, but are never pleased and always want more, putting their lives in jeopardy and making it hard for you to fully understand their decisions and motivations. But it's not a massive problem, since the film takes everything with a sense of comedy, and in the end, I just had fun watching their adventures and mishaps. The film is inspired by real-life events.
The jokes are often quite funny, but there may be times when certain things fly over your head if you aren't in the know with some location specific things, places and words. The characters speak in Estonian, Finnish and Swedish and some of the sentences are lost in translation to English.
The late 1980's setting is masterfully recreated and there aren't a lot of mistakes. The clothes, actors, locations and cars are wonderfully chosen. The editing of the film has been done with a nice even flow and the camera work is visually pleasing and practical, showing what's important most.
Worth a watch if you are into comedic adventure films that have a slight tendency to be absurd as well.
7/10.
