This film was directed, written and starred by one person. There were some creative ideas but given its budget you shouldn't expect much. The performers clearly aren't established actors as it isn't great. The lead character Jake speaks most of his lines in a monotone delivery often looking down at the camera. The ex-girlfriend and sister give more of an upbeat energetic performance.
The film certainly tries being artistic with its camera techniques, filming and color schemes where it seems like something only added to pad the runtime. We watch the film but don't get why we are supposed to root for and feel sympathetic for the lead character.
Especially towards the past hour mark where he visits his sister at her hotel room and he confesses his desires for her then jumps on her sitting on the bed and seemingly rapes her- which lasted over three minutes (around 1:12:00- 1:15:15- also the screen is entirely blacked out so we do not see anything, we only hear her voice- and which we aren't quite sure whether she comes around and partakes or isn't enjoying it all at). Then the very finale scene was a little ridiculous.
Overall this is simply a bland bizarre artistic attempt at a film where it falls flat. If they wanted to go crazy and creative for shock value, they should have went more outrageous and over the top. It would have added entertainment value. Ultimately the film is quite boring.
