The Only Take (1983)
*** (out of 4)
Gorman Bechard wrote, directed, edited, produced, shot and stars in this two-minute short that has him playing a director setting up his only take but a bad piece of advice to a crew person leads to a major mistake. At just two-minutes there's nothing overly ground-breaking about this short but at the same time it's fun and the "mistake" plays out quite well. I really enjoyed this short for what it was but a lot of people will want to check it out since it was from the director of PSYCHOS IN LOVE and it also features a couple of its actors in small roles here including Carmine Capobianco. Again, there's nothing excellent here but it's a fun early short.
