¨The Wish List¨or ¨La lista de los deseos¨ is inspired by a true story , flipping between tragedy and comedy . Resulting to be a comedy centered on three women who learn of his cancer diagnosis and their subsequent struggle to beat the disease . Set in Sevilla Andalusia, south to Spain , where a young veterinarian called Eva (Maria León) discovers that she has cancer and decides to make a list of things to do before she dies. The film will follow our protagonist and two friends (Silvia Alonso , Victoria Abril) through different adventures where they will not only fulfill their wishes but also grow as people . As they decide to rent an RV and make a girls' trip after Eva's treatment finishes but before they know the results, and travel to Morocco to fulfill their respective lists.

It results to be other of the innumerable stories to deal with dramatic deeds blending with comedy that follows the relationships of a smpathetic trio of women determined to defy the distresses that life has dealt them , as they decide to leave their ordinary activities and do all the things they have ever wanted to do before they die according to their bucket list . In the process , both of them love each other , become intimate friends , and ultimately find joy in life . It is a feeling film about patients with cancer treated with a touch of humor , despite its grave subject matter . A film directed for almost the whole family with an enjoyable message about ¨Life¨ deeeming its real importance and always with certain pretensions to feel good comedy but without neglecting that characteristic bitter aftertaste . It is a touching tragicomedy with romantic as well as hilarious elements ; including top-notch performances and thought-provoking issues . Within the tragicomedy genre there is a certain tradition in the premises of "I am going to die so I have to live my life very intensely in a short time". Funny and uplifting Spanish Dramedy with bewildering events , entertainment , amusement and funny situations . It's an agreeable , moving film in which friendship , comradeship and hope survive all , being perfectly acted and concerning the narration about a trio of women live together a fun trip and all of them have remarkably positive attitudes in spite of their pains. Meanwhile , they enjoy antics , jokes , singing , flirting , and many other things . A success of the film are its locations thanks to expert cameraman Julio de la Rosa , which cover part of the Andalusian and Moroccan coast . The landscapes practically become the protagonists of the plot and reiterate the philosophy so popularized by ¨Eat Pray Love¨ by Ryan Murphy , as the journey as a way to discover yourself and move forward. The premise of ¨The Wish List¨ is not very original , it has been already treated in other films, an example would be ¨Wayne Wang's Last Holiday¨ with Queen Latifah , ¨50/50¨ directed by Jonathan Levine , "Terms of Endearment¨ by James L. Brooks ,¨The Bucket List¨ by Rob Reiner and the Spanish ¨4ª Floor¨ by Antonio Mercero . ¨La lista de los deseos¨ turns out to be an entertaining and likable family comedy with some stereotypes , including attractive Spanish actors , here stands out the trio of starring : Maria León , Silvia Alonso and veteran Victoria Abril . Being well accompanied by a fine support cast , such as : Salva Reina , Boré Buika , Andrés Velencoso and Paco Tous as the regretful and eventually good father .The general feeling of The Wish List is decent enough , a really necessary film with an obvious and direct message of carpe diem, adding feminine themes.

He is an artisan making nice comedies such as this ¨La Lista Deseos¨ , ¨Los Japan¨ , ¨Despedida¨ , ¨Cafe Solo o Con Ellas¨. Specially his films like Los Japón or Señor, dame paciencia were pleasantly received by the public, becoming really profitable films at the box office . Rating : 6/10 . The flick will appeal to Spanish modern comedy enthusiasts . Worthwhile watching .
