Murder in the Family

Behind the camera is future Hollywood director Ronald Neame and cameraman Issue Morris.

On the acting side there is future Oscar winner and Evelyn Ankers,destined with Tandy to go to Hollywood.

The children of the family are played by Toddy McDowell and Glynis Johns.

A police sergeant is played by W. Simpson(Bill)Fraser and an Estate Agent by Wilfred Hyde White.

This was one of the last films made under the 1928 Quota legislation.

The problem is that we see the murder of the rich aunt so there is not much tension. In fact the denouement is rather anti climactic. However it is a reasonably entertaining film,seen by a sold out audience at the BFI Southbank.
