- QuizIn the soda-shop scene, W.C. Fields turns to the camera and announces that the scene was supposed to have been filmed in a saloon "but the censor cut it out." He was telling the truth.
- BlooperWhen the ladder of the fire truck lifts the car into the air, a shadow on the front of the building reveals the rigging and crane that actually did the lifting.
- Citazioni
The Great Man: I didn't squawk about the steak, dear. I merely said I didn't see that old horse that used to be tethered outside here.
Waitress: You're as funny as a cry for help.
- Curiosità sui creditiThe film opens with W.C. Fields' credit as star over a cartoon caricature of him. Then the chest of the character expands to bloated proportions, and the title of the film is printed on Fields' huge cartoon chest.

Recensione in evidenza
W.C. Fields movies are always filled with his unique brand of humor, none more so that than "Sucker". If you see only one Fields film this should be it. The chase scene at the end is one of the best from the 1940's and still holds up decently today.
