La llamaban La Madrina

Mariano Ozores comedy with the sympathetic actress Lina Morgan and a great plethora of Spanish actors . Mediocre but fun comedy dealing with swindlers , it stars Trini (Lina Morgan) and her gang (José Saza , Emilio Laguna and her grandfather : Luis Barbero , among others) . She's a small-time delinquent who is an utter flop because of the moment she executes crimes and misdemeanors Trini fails and things go awry. However , their criminal activities are second-class , that's why all of them wish to adapt themselves to modern times , and to have big success at their works they are emphasizing in new robbing techniques , as Trini acts as a resourceful teacher of his band . Later on , they are assigned by Police Inspectors (Alfredo Mayo , Jose Riesgo) to execute a risked mission : to substitute a suitcase of an international mobster (Jack Taylor) . If Trini gets to carry out perfectly the assignment she will have her imprisoned father (Alfonso Del Real) in freedom . As they demonstrate their skills at a hotel where takes place bungling operations , confusion and mayhem . At the end it takes place some spectacular car chases filled with bounds , leaps and crashes .

Funny and uneven comedy , appointed for all kind of public about a silly premise : an expert young delinquent and her botcher group of cons pull off tiny robbing while they are hired by Police to carry out a dangerous mission . It takes a simple concept , a band of shameless delinquents execute petty thefts and tricks in similar style to classical films of Commedia all'Italiana of the fifties , including the famous ¨Tocomocho¨ fraud and great amusement . It follows the wake of known films as ¨Los Tramposos¨, ¨Atraco a Las Tres¨, and ¨Los Que Tocan El Piano¨ or "They Who Play the Piano" . This flick is a comical and sometimes disconcerting account of a bunch of lower class people from the personal , social , cultural , and economic perspective , because needing all of them , urgently , amount of money to resolve their problematic lives as well as to free the Trini's daddy . Here there are some nice jokes , comical sketches and the cast plays eccentric characters . It is a nutty Spanish comedy that offers no intellectual stimulus whatsoever , though it has some entertaining and hilarious moments . The film attempts to give laughs but it falls short , resulting in an average and sometimes embarrassing film . Bemusing story with enjoyable but also absurd moments and attractive acting by likable comedians : Lina Morgan and Antonio Ozóres . An enticing but disconcerting Spanish comedy film and with its ups and downs ; here our protagonist , the great Lina Morgan , demonstrates her real comical skills .
