This is the 3rd film starring Agens Kraus as Alma Krause. The first one ("Viechereien", DDR 1976) introduces us to Alma Krause, who lives in East Berlin and provides room and board for her nephew Heinz. The story focuses on Heinz, who studies to become a veterinarian. After Heinz' transfer to Mecklenburg, a state in the Northern part of East Germany, auntie Alma moves along with him. The second one ("Oh diese Tante", DDR 1977) focuses on Alma and Dr. Kroepelin and their life in Mecklenburg. This one brings the conclusion to part 1 and 2. The story lines in all 3amovies are simple and predictable, but nice, clean and funny. If you are familiar with the life style in East Germany, you will certainly enjoy and appreciate these three films. They are quick-witted, just showing Agens Kraus at her best. She was one of the most famous actresses in East Germany, who passed away in May of 1995 at the age of 84.
