Liam Leon was arrested for several bank robberies soon before the premiere of the film. This caused an enormous controversy surrounding the film. SF Bio was charged with fencing as the authorities suspected the stolen money had been used to make the film. The charges where eventually dropped. Norberg's partner in said robberies where Dragomir Mrsic, who after serving several years in prison also became an actor.
