Jorge, um Brasileiro

Jorge was one of the most fanatical characters I have ever seen, and he was fanatical for a quite specific dogma: being loyal to his boss's interests, due a supposed friendship and a quite reprehensible past favor. His boss's economic interests are more important than people's lives according to his decisions. Fefeu, a friend of him who is also a truck driver, warned that messing up who is the employer and who are employees is wrong. Well, that is the capitalist way, and it is in the movie's background. Besides that, it is a road movie, and as a film from that genre, it not only shows the trip, but also the change of the character along the path. Additionally, life in Minas Gerais countryside, outside Brazilian main towns, is well portrayed. The movie is also well filmed and produced, with nice cinematography and art direction. All that could have led to a better outcome, but unfortunately pace was far from desirable, with the movie becoming better only after most of its length, which included some boring moments. Narration of Jorge's thoughts by Riccelli was not a nice narrative strategy either.
