I am stunned by the camera work and action in this movie and am disappointed I didn't learn of it sooner. Why didn't it win any awards? The horsemanship in this movie is amazing and the music, too, is excellent. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. There's nothing in this movie I didn't like. Even the acting is good. The setting is beautiful. The plot, fighting for a flag that men have died for, is strong. The subplot, a frustrated fiancé, also adds conflict. This little movie has everything and is now one of my very favorites. I watched it on Netflix but I want it on my shelf beside The Patriot and Braveheart and any other great war movie. This little movie is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in film, but it needs to be at the forefront. Civil War buffs will not be disappointed when they view this film. It's definitely a collector's necessity.
