Çetin Inanç has stated in an interview that in a deal with a distributor for three movies, he felt the other party wanted something else, and so he made up a lie about a fourth action movie that he had finished. Therefore he had to make an action movie within 24 hours, to finalize the deal. He asked his assistants for "an Americal serial with lots of fighting that he could work from" and talked to an actor, who was a well-known name. When the actor asked for quite a lot of money, Inanç gave up on him and spoke to
Hüseyin Zan, who had been working in the Turkish film industry for a long time as a producer's assistant, set worker, technician, lightning director, and bit part player. Zan accepted the offer for a lot less money. So the film was shot non-stop all morning and noon (that very day) and the special effects-heavy scenes were filled in with scenes copied / pasted from an American serial named Return Of the Rocketman (which the director liked because the hero had a mask, so the audience hopefully would not realize that the actor in the regular scenes and the actor in the fighting scenes were not the same person). So the film, as promised to the distributor, was actually shot and finished within 24 hours.
"Oski", the name of the hero, was the nickname of Huseyin Zan. It has no particular meaning in Turkish.
